USAGE TRIGGER
Water use by City of Heath customers has reached the trigger for reinstating Stage 2 Water Restrictions on Saturday, August 5. That trigger is customer usage that exceeds 90% of the daily water supply limit of 6 million gallons for two days in a seven-day period (5.4M gallons).
FIRE HAZARD LEVEL
The high customer demand also depletes storage reserves, which are critical for fighting grass or property fires or responding to water main line breaks. Fire conditions are posted at “elevated to critical” levels throughout North Texas with no rain in the forecast ahead.
WHAT THIS MEANS
Stage 2 Water Restrictions allow watering with an irrigation system once per week on your designated day. No watering is allowed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Please adjust your irrigation controllers to the new schedule this weekend.
