Power

Oncor has confirmed approx. 81 properties in Heath remain without power. Oncor is working as quickly as possible to restore service but anticipates it could be up to 24 hours in some areas. If you need to recharge a phone or cool off, the lobby of the Department of Public Safety at 200 Laurence is open 24/7. The Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office lobby at 950 T L Townsend Dr, Rockwall is also open 24/7 to the public. View the power outage map/report an outage here: stormcenter.oncor.com.

Bulky Brush Pickup

With signification tree debris in the area, people are asking if the fee for over 3 cubic yards will be waived. We do not have a confirmation on this yet from Waste Collections, but will notify customers as soon as we do.

Sirens

The City of Heath does not have outdoor warning sirens. Some residents in Heath may be hearing Rockwall sirens. The outdoor sirens are designed primarily to alert people outside to move indoors. The City encourages citizens to register for emergency alerts via Nixle by texting your zip code to 888777. The City is also planning to purchase its own phone/email/text alerts (“push”) notification system to be able to directly expand warnings and information broadcasts.
