Rockwall County has topped a ranking of the Dallas-Fort Worth area counties where a person’s dollar could go the furthest. Additionally, Rockwall County ranked No. 1 in the state of Texas and No. 4 nationwide for spending power.

The study conducted by Smart Asset uses a purchasing power index that is calculated by an area’s estimated cost of living and median income.

Collin County ranked No. 2 and Denton County ranked No. 3 in the analysis of Dallas-Fort Worth counties.
