Residential Water Usage Soars In August

Water usage by City of Heath customers soared during the dry, hot months of July and August. The number of gallons used increased 350% in August compared to June, when we were still enjoying an abundance of rain.

The graph above illustrates usage trends during the past 11 months, and also shows just how fast you can run through this precious commodity when watering your lawn or filling your pool. It doesn’t look we will have the relief of rain soon.
