PUBLIC NOTICE – ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Country Club Drive
Sealed bids addressed to the City of Heath Director of Public Works, will be received at the Public Works Office, Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Drive, September 17, 2013, until the hour of 10:00 am, for the following project:
Country Club Drive Rehabilitation and Miscellaneous Pavement Repairs Project
The project includes approximately: Base Bid- Remove 1865 S.Y. Concrete, Install 1070 S.F. Sidewalk, Install 1603 S.Y. 8-inch Concrete Pavement w/Curb, Install 1726 S.Y. Rock Base, 304 L.F. Full Depth Sawcut, and other miscellaneous items. The Additive Alternates add approximately the following to the Base Bid: Remove 2264 S.Y. Concrete, Install 186 S.F. Sidewalk, Install 2158 S.Y. 8-inch Concrete Pavement w/Curb, Install 2290 S.Y. Rock Base, 1253 L.F.Full Depth Sawcut, and other miscellaneous items.
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope externally marked- Country Club Drive Rehabilitation.
Bids will be opened and publicly read in the City Council Chambers at the Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Drive. No bids will be open or considered if received after the specified time.
Prequalification is not required. Completion time is 45 Calendar Days for Base Bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities and/or to accept the bid or bids deemed best for the City.
The City can award the project based on the Base Bid, Base Bid plus any or all (or a combination of) Additive Alternate Items as determined by the City.
A 5% Bid Bond is due with the bids. A Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond (2-year) is required for this project.
Plans and specifications may be examined and procured at the City of Heath Public Works Office located at the Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Drive, Heath, Texas (phone numbers- 972-771-6228/fax 469-273-4015), and at the office of the Engineer, Binkley & Barfield- C&P, 1801 Gateway Blvd., Suite 101, Richardson, Texas (phone numbers- 972-644-2800/fax 972-644-2817), at no cost, beginning August 30, 2013.
Only those Bids received from Contractors who have purchased the plans and specifications for this project from the office of the Engineer and are listed on the Engineer’s List Plan Holders, will be opened at the Bid Opening for consideration.
