Public Invited to National Peace Officers Memorial Day Service

11:30 a.m., Monday, May 16 at Heath City Hall

The Heath Department of Public Safety will host a special service at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 16 at Heath City Hall to commemorate National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day, and the calendar week in which May 15 falls as National Police Week. Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of
others.

Heath DPS invites fellow Peace Officers and the public to join in this ceremony to honor those that gave their all. Heath City Hall is located at 200 Laurence Drive, Heath.
