Notice is hereby given that the Planning and Zoning Commission will hold public hearings starting at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Dr.

Further notice is given that the City Council will hold a public hearing starting at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Heath City Hall.

The Commission and the Council will consider:

  1. the application of Robert Hilton for a zoning change from Single-Family Residential District (SF-43) to Agricultural (A) zoning district on the portion of 7.203 acres of land so zoned in the E. Teal Survey A-0207, (RCAD Tract 79-2; RCAD parcel ID# 34261) in the vicinity of the 800 block of Smirl Drive, Heath, Rockwall County, TX. Special notice will be given to owners of property within 200’ of the subject property.
  2. the application of Robert Hilton for a conditional use permit to construct a single-family residence on a tract less than 10 acres in size in an Agricultural (A) zoning district on 203 acres of land in the E. Teal Survey A-0207, (RCAD Tract 79-2; RCAD parcel ID# 34261) in the vicinity of the 800 block of Smirl Drive, Heath, Rockwall County, TX. Special notice will be given to owners of property within 200’ of the subject property;
  3. an Amendment to §159.20 (B), §159.21(B), §159.22 (B), and §159.23 (B) of the Codes of Ordinances to add as a permitted use a single open landscape structure used as a trellis, arbor, pergola, gazebo, garden structure or outdoor kitchen that does not exceed 350 square feet in area and fifteen feet (15’) in height.
