Notice of Deadline to File Applications for Place on the Ballot

The City of Heath is scheduled to call an election to be held on May 5, 2018, for the purpose of electing a Mayor and two (2) Council Members, one for Place 3 and one for Place 5, for two year terms each. The incumbents include Mayor – Brian Berry;  City Council Member – Joe Chamberlain (Place 3) and City Council Member – Kelson Elam (Place 5) who are eligible to run for re-election should they so choose. A candidate packet will be available for pick up at Heath City Hall (200 Laurence Drive – Heath, TX  75032) after January 1, 2018. The period for submitting for a place on the May 5 ballot is Wednesday, January 17, 2018 through Friday, February 16, 2018. The City of Heath’s municipal election is contracted with the Rockwall County Elections Office.
