Bulky Waste Update

HEATH STORM DEBRIS CLEANUP UPDATE – 06/03/24

Waste Connections began picking up the tree limbs and brush from the May 28 storm the week of June 2.

To assist citizens in cleaning up after this unforeseen incident, the City is waiving 50% of each customer’s bulky brush waste pickup fee for anything over the first free 3 cubic yards during the two weeks following the storm. (Week 1: June 2-June 8; Week 2: June 9-15.)

The graphic to the below shows what 3 cubic yards looks like; approximately the size of 3 regularly-sized washer or dryers. The reduced bulky brush pickup for the storm cleanup response will be included on July utility bills.  If you have questions, please contact Waste Connections at 972-289-6714.

NOTE: Oncor cut tree limbs and brush on some properties while working to restore power. That brush will be picked up by Oncor at no charge to the property owner or City as their time allows. The City is recommending that customers try to keep that brush separate and even tag it as “For Oncor Pickup” to avoid it getting picked up by Waste Connections and billed.
