Future Leaders Visit City Hall
It was a fun time at City Hall yesterday as we welcomed 90 kindergartners from Springer Elementary School. The students were on a field trip to learn more about their community and civic services.
The first stop at City Hall was the council chambers, where they learned about how the City serves them. We also discussed how to be a good citizen. But clearly the students’ favorite part was banging the Mayor’s gavel to “adjourn the meeting”.
Then it was on to the Heath Department of Public Safety, where our officers provided a close-up look at the fire trucks and police cars!
Thank you, Springer, for including the City in this great learning opportunity for our future leaders.
