CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: HUBBARD DRIVE LAKE CROSSING REPAIRS (UPDATED 04/19/22)

PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Heath has hired a contractor to construct temporary repairs to the embankment area that eroded and settled last year.

  • The Contractor has made good progress the first two days of construction and if weather permits hopes to begin placing concrete later this week.
  • Working conditions are tight and visibility is limited within the work area so tonight the Contractor will have flagmen out all night to assist with traffic. Please slow down when driving across the causeway and follow the directions of the flaggers. Tomorrow the Contractor will be installing portable temporary signals to direct traffic around the construction area where visibility is limited.
  • The roadway will be limited to one lane similar to the current usage. There may be temporary short-term closures as equipment moves around the limited work area.
  • Flagmen will be on site during construction to direct traffic if temporary lane closures are needed.
  • The temporary signals will be in place until the road is opened to two lanes of traffic.
