CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: 2021 Annual Concrete Roadway Repair

PROJECT SCOPE: The City concrete roadway repair project is the replacement of concrete pavement at various locations throughout the City, including repair of several sections of Heathland Crossing between FM-740 and White Road. The roadway reconstruction on Heathland Crossing will be in sections beginning with the eastbound lanes (Phases 1 and 2) and then moving to the westbound lanes (Phases 3 and 4). Two way traffic will be maintained during construction.

  • The work on Phase 1 of Heathland Crossing is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 18. Work will be performed one area at a time. Construction is allowed between 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturday. There will be no work on Sundays.
  • The 1st phase to be reconstructed is portions of the eastbound lanes, between FM-740 and the first median opening on Heathland Crossing. That section of roadway will be closed during the construction. The westbound lanes, between FM-740 and the 2nd median opening on Heathland Crossing, will become a temporary two-way roadway (only during Phase 1). This first section of roadway is anticipated to be reconstructed within a week, weather dependent.
  • Phase 2 of the roadway reconstruction will continue on the eastbound lanes from Phase 1 to White Road, reconstructing ½ of the roadway at a time. Eastbound traffic will utilize the side of the eastbound road not being reconstructed.
  • Access to homes within the construction area and detour will be maintained during construction. Driveways within the pavement repair area may not be accessible when the pavement in front of the driveways are being re-constructed. The contractor will notify the homeowner in advance.
