City of Heath 2016-2017 Fiscal Budget Process Underway

Proposed Budget includes Reduction in Tax Rate

The City of Heath Council and staff have been working hard to prepare a budget for the Fiscal Year 2016-2017. Budget discussions have been held in open City Council meetings, which residents are encouraged to attend.

You can offer your input on the tax rate at these upcoming Public Hearings:

  • Tuesday, September 13, during the regular City Council Meeting, 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, September 20, Special City Council Meeting, 6:30 p.m.

The proposed budget has been prepared with a tax rate of 41.7311 cents per $100 of property value. This is a reduction of 0.9289 cents per $100 from the current rate of 42.66 cents.

A final budget is currently scheduled to be adopted by the City Council at its meeting on September 27 to become effective October 1.
