SUNSET SWINGS DEDICATION CEREMONY HONORS LEGACIES OF SERVICE

The sun setting over the lake with soft instrumentals of classic hits filling the air of the beautifully groomed Terry Park set the scene as community members honored legacies of service and generosity at the Sunset Swings Dedication Ceremony on September 21.

CITY OF HEATH LIFTS STAGE 2 RESTRICTIONS: 09.21.23

Stage 2 water restrictions have been lifted as the City moves to the Annual Water Conservation Schedule which allows customers to use irrigation systems to water twice per week on their assigned days.

Thanks to the efforts of the majority of our residents, the City was able to avoid Stage 3 water restrictions. With cooler weather and rain in the weather forecast, the City anticipates returning to Stage 1 within the next 10 days if reduced water demand remains consistent.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IN HEATH

National Night Out In Heath, hosted by the Heath Department of Public Safety is Tuesday, October 3, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Heath City Hall/Fire Bay. After a long hiatus, National Night Out In Heath was brought back with resounding success in 2022.

2023-2024 BUDGET PROCESS UNDERWAY

A Public Hearing to receive citizen input regarding the proposed budget was held at the September 26 City Council Meeting.

Daily water usage continues to trend high. Daily gallons used hit 6 million three times during the past seven days, which is above the official trigger of 5.7-million gallons to initiate Stage 3 water restrictions.

TERRY PARK BOAT RAMP PIERS CLOSED FOR REPAIRS

Due to deteriorating conditions that pose safety concerns, the two boat piers at Terry Park have been temporarily closed. The boat ramps will remain operational.

Daily water usage continues to trend high. Daily gallons used has hit 5.9 million twice in the past seven days, which is above the official trigger of 5.7-million gallons to initiating Stage 3 water restrictions.

Daily water usage is trending high. With no relief in the hot, dry weather ahead, plus morning school preparation routines resuming, the usage could easily trigger Stage 3 Restrictions.
