City Implements Call and Text Notification System
To help make it easier to keep up with the status of your utility account, the City has implemented a new notification system that will send automated calls or texts to you. The new system can also send alerts regarding Heath road closures, water outages, watering restrictions, special events and other general non-emergency notifications. (This is not an emergency alert system. To sign up for free weather and emergency alerts, please go to www.nixle.com.)
The City’s notifications are automatically set up to reach you by phone. If you prefer to receive notifications by text, you will need to opt in, and standard text messaging rates may apply. You will only receive one form of notification. Therefore, if you choose to receive text messages, you will be opted out of phone notifications. You may choose to opt out of all notifications, but you will not be notified by in any other means in most cases. You can contact the City if you chose to get back into the notification system.
